Original Squat

KFW™ Original Squat is a defined movement model that organizes the squat into six continuous positions.This visual excerpt presents the structure of the movement without instruction or explanation.

Author’s Note (from the KFW Original Squat Visual Guide)

KFW Original Squat is the simplest application of the ancient human technique of standing up while protecting the lower back, adapted to modern training environments and practices.

The fundamental movement is simple:

when descending, the hips fold first and the knees flex;

when ascending, the knees extend first, followed by hip extension.

In other words, this same movement pattern is consistently used across daily life, sports, and various forms of squatting.

For this reason, mastering the techniques of the KFW Original Squat may have a positive impact on a wide range of human activities.

As the saying goes, “All roads lead to Rome.”

In that sense, I believe that “All squats lead to the KFW Original Squat.”

If this squat were to be named purely based on its movement characteristics, one might call it a rocking squat, seesaw squat, balance squat, swing squat, or pendulum squat.
